CACINA LEADERSHIP CHANGES FOR 2022

Announcing the Retirement of Bishop Ron Stephens

Bishop Ron Stephens has announced his retirement effective immediately.

Bishop Ron has led the Diocese of Holy Trinity for the past several years.  He also served as Presiding Bishop of CACINA several years ago.

We thank God for Bishop Ron's service and leadership in the church, and we will continue to count on Bishop Ron's calm, pastoral presence and wisdom as a retired bishop in CACINA.

We also continue our prayers for Bishop Ron as he continues to struggle with some major heart problems that continue to threaten his life.

God bless you, and thank you Bishop Ron for giving so much of yourself for the greater good of Christ's Church

Combining of San Damiano Diocese with Holy Trinity Diocese

With the retirement of Bishops Santore and Stephens, the College of Bishops has directed that the Diocese of San Damiano be combined with the Diocese of Holy Trinity.  Bishop Michael Theogene will serve as Diocesan Bishop and Bishop Monica Kennedy will continue to serve as Auxiliary Bishop of Diocese of Holy Trinity and all parishes and missions of Diocese of San Damiano will become parishes and missions of Diocese of Holy Trinity. Our national church web site will be updated to reflect these changes in the near future.
Thank you for your patience and support as the newly elected take on their positions and the logistics of realignment are put in place.

ALZHEIMER'S WALK SEPTEMBER 24TH

Dear friends,

This year's Alzheimer's Walk will be held on Saturday, September 24th at Centennial Park, 10000 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City  21042.  The walk in the park is an easy one on a paved path.  I think it took our group about 30 minutes last year with a lot of laughing and camaraderie.

We invite you to join us if you can between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.  This is not an all-day event.  I am serving lunch at my home at 1:00 p.m.  Address:  345 Fleagle Road, Glen Burnie

If you would like a special event shirt designed by my son, David, please respond with your SIZE on or before September 1st.  After that date, I cannot guarantee a shirt will be available for you.  We would be happy to see you either way.

Blessings and thanks to you all.  If you are unable to attend, please keep the fight to end Alzheimer's in your prayers.  A cure is our sincerest hope!!

Thank you.  Alice Jo

BLUE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION HIGHLIGHTS

Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church at 200 School Lane is hosting this year's Blue Christmas Night.
A Traditional Service that is held on the longest Night of the Year.
Service begins at 7:00 p.m
ALL ARE WELCOME
There were approximately 32 people in attendance from six to seven parish communities. There were five "Candles Of Remembrance " lite with "Prayers of Hope" that followed.  Traditional Christmas Hymns featured Little Town of Bethlehem, Silent Night, O Come O Come Emmanuel and Away in A Manger. There were 10 different Ministers who did Readings, Prayers and Reflections. It was an excellent model of what a truly Ecumenical Service should look like. A very prayerful experience.  Would encourage everyone to consider attending if a service is held next year.
