CHRISTMAS WISH FROM HOPE FOR ALL

This prayer brings to mind all of our HOPE FAMILY

We quietly go about our works of love.  Just as the sheperda watch over their flocks.  Just as each order we fill is done with love.  In honor of HIM above and his forgotten children.

The linens, shoes, and household items are gathered to make that house a home.  Hearts are filled with joy as the toys are added.

He is wrapped by the love, devotion and faith of each of you.  The angels sing in rejoice for his birth and each household that is touched.

As the Wise Men came to pay him homage, so too does our HOPE truck pull in front of a home bringing with it the HOPE personnel delivering what must seem like gold, frankincense and myrrh.

The worry about riches , wealth, power and status are missing.  The bright star and the angels voices proclaim the Good News of Christ Our Lord ; “Do this for the least of my brethen”.

A very Holy, Blessed and Healthy Christmas to all and your loved ones.  Thanks to each of you in bringing his joy to all we serve.

 My Sisters and Brothers;

Christmas is the season during which the whole church celebrates the theme that is most central to our Christian theology and faith: God’s incarnation: “God is present in us and in the world, working for our healing and growth, our direction and our comfort, our reconciliation and our redemption.”

This is the fundamental Christmas message to us in this age as it was to the preceding ages. At Christmas we hold true to the faith that genuine hope, and new life, are breathed into our lives so we may start afresh. We are once again called to believe in God who first and foremost believed in us; enough to risk his son Jesus to be born as one of us, as the perfect and wholesome gift to all humanity! It is this gift that began the well-known and much advertised tradition of gift giving.

Furthermore, the message of Christmas is one of peace and goodwill to all. It is no secret that we face many threats and challenges daily, enough to cause the best and most resilient to question God’s presence. The Christmas message collapses all those anxieties and fears, transforming them into optimistic and hope-filled expressions of a better tomorrow.

Let us summon our resolve to be confident in the power of God to change the world through his Son born in Bethlehem’s stable. The light of the world is here for all to see, worship and embrace. In the comforting words of the angels to the shepherds, “Do not be afraid; for see I am bringing you good news of great joy for all people: to you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord…”.

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our CACINA family .

Your brother in In Christ,

The Most Rev. Anthony Santore Presiding Bishop - CACINA

REQUEST TO WEAR MASKS INDOOR/ IN PERSON EVENTS

Due to the recent increases in Anne Arundel Co.  We are requesting that everyone wear a mask indoors per the A.A. County recommendations.   See below.

THANK YOU

Department of Health Strongly Advises Businesses and Public to Wear Face Masks Indoors

ANNAPOLIS, MD, December 20, 2021 — Due to a sustained increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations and outbreaks, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health strongly advises that all people 2 years and older should wear a mask in indoor public areas and outdoors in crowded areas where distancing is not possible. All businesses should require that staff and customers wear masks in indoor and outdoor settings with the exception of activities that cannot take place while masked. Masks should be well fitting and cover the nose and mouth.

Over the past three weeks, COVID-19 hospitalizations at the two county hospitals, Anne Arundel Medical Center and Baltimore Washington Medical Center, have more than doubled to approximately 95 people and the number continues to rise. This has put extreme stress on our hospital systems and health care professionals and will lead to changes in service as outlined by the Governor’s order last week.

Over the past two weeks, outbreaks across all settings in the county have increased by over two-thirds to over 80. Outbreaks are recorded in settings like schools, nursing homes, child care facilities, assisted living and other similar settings.
