PARISH LEADERSHIP NOMINATIONS FOR 2023

 

THE PLT OF ST. CHARLES OF BRAZIL PARISH NEEDS YOU!

Greetings!

It’s that time of year where the Parish Leadership Team (PLT) of St. Charles of Brazil is looking to its church membership for nominees to the PLT. The election for new PLT members will be held during its annual Parish Meeting on February 19, 2023. Per the By-Laws of the Parish,

Section 3. Nomination 

Voting Members shall be nominated to serve as Parish Leadership Team members in the following manner: 

At least three months in advance of each annual meeting, the Parish Leadership Team shall appoint a Nominating Officer from the Voting Members of the Church preferably not currently serving on the Parish Leadership Team.  The Nominating Officer shall nominate at least as many Voting Members as there are vacancies to be filled at the annual meeting. The Nominating Officer shall: 

1.Two months prior to annual meeting advertise Call for Nominations to poll voting members for nominees, by means of weekly e-bulletin, e-mail, announcement or other appropriates means.

2.Identify voting members for nomination 

3.Submit slate of nominees to Parish Leadership Team one month prior to Annual Meeting 

The Nominating Officer shall publish slate of nominees via weekly e-bulletin, e-mail, announcement or other appropriate means. 

It is you, the Parishioners of St. Charles of Brazil, who will help us decide how to address the needs of our community and our church. Per the By-Laws of the Parish,

Section 2. Voting Members

Every Ordinary Member of the Church, 18 years of age or older, who has been a registered parishioner for at least three months, is considered a Voting Member of the Church, and is eligible to vote in the election of members to the Parish Leadership Team and upon all other matters having to do with the affairs of the Church.
