HOPE FOR ALL WISH LIST

We have extended the date for accepting donations for Hope For All  thru November 28th.  Below is a link to Amazon with a list of suggested items.  This list is merely a "suggestion".  If you would like to donate different items than what is on the list they will be gratefully accepted.

We will have a hard copy of the list from Amazon if you would prefer that as an option. The list will be available in church.  If you will not be able to be in attendance we can e-mail you a hard copy.  Please contact Charlie Ernst cfe1215@gmail.com and he will send you a copy via e-mail.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHUCK WEAVER

The funeral is scheduled for Monday November 22^nd at St. Charles Of Brazil Church located at 116 Marydell Rd. in Linthicum MD.

Viewing for the family only will begin at 9 a.m.  For the General Public and Parish the Viewing/ Wake will be in the church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  There will be a brief Christian Wake Service that starts at 9:30 a.m.

Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a reception in the hospitality area downstairs from the church to follow. 

The link for the live stream for the service will be made available on our News Wire by Sunday afternoon November 21st.

Chuck Weavers Passing

Chuck Weaver’s Passing; 

 Vicky, David and I were with Chuck as he took his last breath. We are grateful for God‘s great mercy.

Alice Jo and her family would like to pass on their sincere thanks to the St. Charles Of Brazil  community for the constant prayers and well wishes we received. All the details for Chuck’s arrangements will be posted on the website for Kirkley Ruddick funeral home.

ADVENT BOOKLETS HAVE ARRIVED

Our Advent Booklet for 2021 has arrived .  The title of the book is; "Awaken to New Light"  . We will have them in church this coming Sunday for you to pick up and use during the Advent Season which starts on Sunday November 28th. In this posting we have included a sample from the booklet  (See below). 

Advent on the Inside Are you ready for this? Are you ready for the promise fulfilled and the possibility realized? Ready for anticipation, excitement, and gobsmacking, joy-filled amazement? Are you ready to lace up your sandals, grip your walking stick, and journey down the dusty road that leads to the love you believe in? This changes everything. At least it ought to. But before Christmas can truly change the world around us, we must first let it change the world within us. Advent calls us to prepare our hearts and minds, our muscles and bones, and our moods and attitudes so incarnation can seep through our neurons and soak into our marrow. We have posted  a list from HOPE FOR ALL of an Amazon "Wish List".   In addition to that list we are also providing information about some very specific items that they are also requesting that appeared in their recent  News Letter.  Perhaps you may want to consider donating some socks or other items listed here.  We will be accepting these donations thru November 28th.

            Alice Jo Weaver has advised us that the Hospice Nurse believes that Chuck might have only a couple of weeks.  Bishop Monica has suggested that Alice would appreciate any cards or phone calls of support.  We are requesting that you keep Chuck, Alice Jo and their family in your prayers 

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY NOVEMBER 7, 2021

Pictures from Remembrance Sunday.  Candles were lit as the names were read immediately after the Homily.  The  number of candles lit represented the name of each person that was read from the Book of the Dead. In the picture on the bottom , the Book is visible on a podium and will be on our altar during the entire month of November.
